Our nation’s rich diversity is the surest sign of our greatness. And the music of Black America is a big piece of that greatness.

Songs of Hope, Freedom, & Justice

JOIN US FOR A TRULY INSPIRING EVENING OF SONG.

Join us for a concert to honor the legacy of our African American musical ancestors and the composers and performers inspired by them. Everything from Spirituals to Jazz, from Gospel to Rhythm and Blues, from Rock ‘n Roll to Rap is a part of our songbook because of them.  As you share this evening with us, you will experience a musical tradition’s deep currents of hope that have moved generations of warriors for justice. Music still has that kind of power. We need it today.

*IMPORTANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR DRIVE-IN MOVIE EVENT

We are happy to present a drive-in movie concert so that our fans can get out of the house to enjoy a larger-than-life experience with others. We are committed to doing what we can to try and make the experience as safe as we can for all involved. To do this, we will be enforcing the following requirements for patrons:

  • The event will be an in-car experience only. Regrettably, we cannot allow you to bring chairs and sit outside of your vehicle.
  • If you emerge from your vehicle to go to the restroom or visit a business at Dania Pointe, masks must be worn at all times when you are in the movie event. Dania Pointe's restaurants and other businesses will enforce their own guidelines.
  • If you are in a convertible or wish to roll down windows, you must wear a mask or park so that you are socially distanced from others.
  • We will not be permitting patrons to get out of their cars and visit others in their vehicles. If you must communicate with friends who are attending, we suggest using your phone to call and/or text.
  • Until more is known, these guidelines are even applicable to guests who are fully vaccinated.

If you are unable to follow the guidelines above, please do not attend the live event and instead join the virtual concert on the 17th.

We respect everyone's rights and freedom, however we also are committed to following established safety protocols to help ensure that one person's freedom of rights does not result in another's loss of life. At our drive-in event, we will have security on hand to help us enforce these policies.

NOTE: While we are taking every step possible to make our drive-in event as safe as we can, our efforts do not relieve our guests of their personal responsibility in ensuring their own safety. GMCSF is not liable for any consequences, real or perceived, resulting from participation in this event. By purchasing a ticket and agreeing to attend the April 9th drive-in move, you are agreeing to uphold our safety protocols and assume full responsibility for your own safety.

Thank you for helping us create a safe and memorable evening!
